Halloween is our favourite time of year and we’d like to remind everyone that it isn’t cancelled. Halloween 2020 is going to be a little different though: Trick or Treating will not be the same, but there are still ways to have spooky fun while staying safe.
Enjoy Halloween with Friends and Family
For example; you could join in following pumpkin trails or have stay at home parties with your family (or even do both)!
Pumpkin Trail Facebook pages are popping up all over the country and we have our very own “Pumpkin Trails (Sussex)”. This group will be listing street names where there are Halloween displays. Householders are decorating their windows and front gardens with anything from a carved pumpkin, painted ghostly pictures to a full display of skeletons and other creepy props! Parents will be using the group to work out a route before setting off with their family, all dressed up for the occasion of course! Instead of knocking on doors and accepting treats, parents are choosing to take their own sweets along with them and add to their children’s haul each time they find a display.
The Facebook group also offers some brilliant ideas for DIY decorations and spooktacular recipes for party food. Halloween piñatas are a big hit this year (pun very much intended)! Why not fill it with all of the rewards gained on your Pumpkin Trail? We have Pumpkin piñatas available at just £8.49. These are genuine Mexican piñatas and are superb value. It gives a whole new meaning to ‘smashing pumpkins’!
In the shop we have costumes for all ages so there’s absolutely no excuse to not dress up! Our ground floor is crammed full with all the costumes, props and accessories that you could ever need for a really frightful time! We are of course following government guidelines with extra cleaning, face coverings and hand sanitiser. We can only allow one person or family group in the shop at any one time. Please be patient if you have to wait, or why not book an appointment so that you can browse at your leisure.
Walk-in times are Saturdays 10-4pm and Thursday evenings 6-8pm. Appointments are available throughout the week. During the last week of the month, we will be open 10-5pm every day. Please call in and see us.
Don’t forget that there’s a 10% discount voucher in this month’s Uckfield Matters magazine and for every purchase over £5 we give you a free pack of glow sticks (subject to availability).
Stay safe everyone. Always follow the latest guidelines and advice, but most of all, have a fun Halloween.
