Terms & Conditions
Please read through these and acknowledge them before making payment. Invoice payment will assume you have agreed these terms
My office hours are Monday to Friday 9-1pm Saturdays 9 – 1pm. The office is manned between 9am to 1pm week days. Messages left via email or phone will be replied to when I’m free. I will not reply out of hours.
- New clients & fees: the first meeting or phone conversation is free. All subsequent, ongoing work (including meetings and phone calls) will be subject to charges, which will be agreed in advance. These may vary depending on the nature of work to be carried out. Work will be invoiced at the end of each month, unless otherwise agreed. Fees for training sessions will be required upfront.
- Meetings & training sessions: During meetings, consultations and training sessions, clients will be expected to turn off their mobile phone as will Sue.
- Work carried out: Work may be emailed or dropped off outside office hours. An email will always be sent to confirm completion of set work. For ongoing clients, a brief email will be sent at the end of each month to confirm work completed.
- Invoice payment is due 7 days after receipt of invoice. If work is ongoing, invoices will be sent at the end of each month, with a 7-day settlement period. Payments are requested by BACS. Any invoices that are not paid on time more than once, will incur a fixed penalty charge of 10% of the invoice value. If the invoice remains unpaid for a further four weeks, work for the client will cease until the full amount plus the penalty charge has been paid.
- Work delay, stopped or refused: if for any reason work must be suspended or delayed through any default of the client, SJE Marketing is entitled to immediate payment for work carried out and all expenses incurred. SJE Marketing reserve the right to refuse any work including anything considered to be illegal or unethical.
- Document checking: final proof reading of all work (including web content) is the responsibility of the client. Any errors notified to us within 48 hours of completion of work will be corrected free of charge. After that 48 hour period, the hourly rate apples.
- Confidentiality, security and data protection: all work carried out by SJE Marketing is strictly confidential and none of the client’s work will be shared or discussed with 3rd party, unless SJE Marketing has been given permission to do so. Sue is happy to sign a confidentiality agreement if required. All IT systems at SJE Marketing are virus, spyware and password protected. However should any breaches happen (thankfully not so far), SJE Marketing do not accept any responsibility for any viruses transmitted via email or documents.
