Double Celebration and promising progress for Cannadines, Uckfield
Cannadines have recently been celebrating a year since their move to a larger premises on Bell Lane, as well as the launch of their new website.
How did it all start?
Peter Cannadine joined the family business in Brighton in 1966, concentrating solely on bathrooms. Since then his son Ross has taken over the reins. Over time the business has evolved considerably, to incorporate kitchens (2008) and bedrooms too. Now they are proud to be among the leading suppliers of quality, end-to-end bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms in the South East.
What prompted the latest expansion?
The previous Cannadines shop was reaching capacity, some of the showroom examples needed upgrading and they heard that they were losing potential customers due to the lack of parking facilities. Then they took the opportunity to move to a larger premises arrived, which allowed them to expand and develop the business further.
What sets Cannadines apart from other similar companies?
Cannadines offer complete project management, from initial concept to final sign-off and they will oversee all projects at each stage. They also provide excellent after sales service too. To keep it mostly local where they can, most of their contractors are local, and they collaborate with local companies too, such as Carvills, who supply the bed linen for the show bedrooms. They have recently taken on Laura Ashley, who match their quality and home brand criteria.
Cannadines are always open to new products and aim to keep on top of the game.
Much of their business comes from recommendation and word of mouth.
What are their plans for the future?
The bathroom showrooms upstairs are yet to be completed and there is further potential to expand, some of which they plan to set up as bedroom showrooms.
